Our Art Classes and Workshops are the perfect way to explore a specific art medium or theme without making a long-term commitment. Artists can to try out an art class or build on their current skills in a safe and creative environment. Our mini sessions and PD day offerings are ideal for those with busy schedules. Join us for a fun and creative experience that will leave you feeling inspired.
Artistic Expression
Art Classes
Our Artistic Expressions classes are designed to allow artists to learn new skills and take their creativity to the next level. We work with a variety of materials including watercolours, tempera paints, acrylics, chalk and oil pastels, markers and pencils. Students also work on larger projects such as paper mache and sculpture. Our classes include both instruction and studio time, creating an environment that fosters growth, creativity and new friendships.

Bears & Brushes
Art Workshop
This sweet bear is so much fun to create! We will learn how to draw a fairly simple bear and add some fun details to the background. Our artists will then use paint to add colour and creativity to their work. If artists are ready, they will be encouraged to add highlights and shadows to their artwork. All levels are welcome! We can adapt this project to provide challenge and success to all artists.

"LEGO" Figure

Get ready for a creative PD Day workshop packed with imagination and design! In this hands-on art class, artists will draw and design their own custom LEGO-inspired characters, exploring character design, personality, and storytelling through art. From outfits and accessories to facial expressions and details, students will bring their ideas to life on paper while learning about proportion, colour, and creative problem-solving.

Easter Eggs

Egg-cellent Easter Art Class!

We’re getting messy, colourful, and creative! Artists will:
🥚 Dye real Easter eggs in bright spring colours
🎨 Experiment with patterns and designs
🧺 Decorate a cute little basket to carry their eggs home
This class is perfect for young artists who love hands-on projects.

Cats & Dogs
"A Purr-fectly fun art week"

Take a playful leap into the world of our favourite furry friends as we draw and paint curious cats and loyal dogs. Artists will explore expressive faces, playful poses, and fun patterns while learning how to show texture, movement, and personality in their artwork. We’ll also create our own pet-inspired creations using Model Magic and other fun sculpting materials.

Enchanted Adventures
"From Imagination to Creation"
​
Step into an enchanted world of castles, hidden pathways, and magical adventures as we draw, paint, and create. Artists will imagine mysterious towers, secret rooms, and fairy-tale scenes while exploring shape, texture, colour, and detail in their artwork. We’ll bring our ideas to life by building a castle diorama and experimenting with a variety of materials, including paint, collage, and fun sculpting supplies, to create one-of-a-kind enchanted creations.

Children's
Art Class Memberships
Mud Puddles Art Studio offers weekly art class options for children from SK- Grade 8. Children explore watercolours, acrylics, pencil, clay, paper mache, and more. They make new friends while learning new skills and exploring their creativity.
These classes are part of our "Mud Puddles Membership Program". Our membership classes run from September-June to allow us to dive more deeply into our art curriculum. This is our most popular format of classes and space is very limited!
